Many of us are brought to tears, thinking of how much we love our children. They are the people we are dedicated to protecting, even when they reach adulthood. Our love for our children remains just as strong as it did when they were little kids.
The most essential preparation for our children is to disciple them to follow Jesus Christ. We know that it’s important to take our children to church, read scripture with them, and pray with them daily. But that frankly isn’t enough; there are also tactical lessons we must teach our children so they can stand firm in Christ for the rest of their lives.
Kelsea Studebaker wrote Training Godly Warriors: How to Take Your Children Through Spiritual Basic Training, to provide parents with tactical strategies to train our children to be warriors for Christ. These strategies are based on Kelsea’s research on military basic training. Kelsea is committed to helping stop the hemorrhaging occurring in Christian families across America. Of their children walking away from the Lord, in their teenage and adult years. We have to train our children how to resist the devil, how to be ambassadors for Christ, and how to endure the persecution Scripture tells us we will encounter.
Kelsea is a wife and mother of seven children, is a former Christian school teacher.
